The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people and for adults with addiction issues. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with addiction across the country. Working with us at SiS will be an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Folåsa receives school-age girls with psychosocial issues as well as criminality and addiction.
Job Description
We are looking for more night staff as we are expanding our staffing at night. Are you the one who wants to help create life-changing transformations for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the young people living with us receive the security, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivational work and provide support in everyday life. With your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the implementation of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You help maintain safety according to our routines and contribute to the smooth running of everyday life with schooling, cleaning, cooking, etc. The job may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in a difficult life situation. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working Hours
The working hours are according to a night schedule, you will work on a rolling 3-week schedule where you work about 7 nights. You will work in pairs per department. We have a total of 5 departments at Folåsa.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training alternates theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in a vulnerable life situation and share SiS's values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are secure in yourself and have an easy time building relationships with young people as well as with others in the staff group. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You find it easy to collaborate with others and can handle conflicts constructively.
You should also have:
- A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or education from a university that we assess as equivalent
- A valid driver's license (B)
- Good Swedish in speech and writing
It is advantageous to have:
- Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or within LSS care
- Experience from client-facing positions in the Prison and Probation Service, e.g., correctional officer
- Education in care and nursing
- Experience working with youth
- Experience in night work

Employment
The position is a permanent full-time position and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
